Tomorrow TUESDAY 4/8, 1:00PM EDT we will dig deeper into the damaging effects on our democracy that has resulted from corporate rule by a tiny percentage of plutocrats with their increasingly limitless power of money politics. We will bore down specifically on why we need “Medicare For All” and other reform to restore “we the people” to a meaningful national vision.

Our featured guest today is Margaret Flowers. Margaret is a pediatrician from Baltimore who coordinates, co-directs and co-hosts Clearing the FOG on WeActRadio. She is adviser to the board of Physicians for a National Health Program and is on the steering committee of the "Maryland Health Care is a Human Right" campaign. Her twitter is MFlowers8. - PETITION

For our music … we will tap into the only natural resource the republic of texas brings to us that wont kill us: music! … some Nanci Griffith tunes to be specific.

Bob Longman Show playlist for 04/06/2014

12:30-2:30 pm.

Note: the Linda Thompson and Choc Drops songs were full-on acappella solos, and Bernice Johnson's was more of a solo with slight vocal accompaniment than a vocal-band piece. A lot is said about acappella group singing, however for certain intense personal emotions, acappella solo stands out most. I hope bands look for at least one lead vocalist who can carry that kind of emotional freight as a soloist.
