Tonight's extended show we celebrate the life of Jerry Garcia with interviews and a focus on the 1974 PA system the Wall of Sound conceived by Owsley "Bear" Stanley and built by the sound and road crew from the Dead. We will play choice set segments that was fed into that magnificent PA between May-August 1974. Alternating sets will consist of bands that collaborated with and were in the same sphere as the Grateful Dead.

American cosmic music celebrating The Grateful Dead and the 50th anniversary of "Wake Of The Flood" with three set segments from June- November 1973. Owsley Stanley also known as Bear was The Dead's soundman in the 60's and early 70's and recorded all of the opening bands. His archives are being slowly released with this m,ornings show featuring tunes from The New Riders of the Purple Sage and the Flying Burrito Bros. Happy New Year from WUSB and the Melting World.
