Sunday Street playlist for 07/17/2016

Today’s program highlighted some events in the upcoming Stony Brook Film Festival including an interview with Leslie McCleave, director of the documentary, "The Blind Boys of Alabama: How Sweet The Sound" and a conversation with Karen Levitov, Director of the Zuccaire Gallery, where the exhibition "On The Record: Album Cover Art" will be on view during the festival.

We also gave away some tickets to the Stony Brook Film Festival and to the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival to lucky listeners.

Our music mix featured some songs related to motion pictures as well as a set of songs noting Donald Trump's upcoming nomination as the Republican candidate for President of the United States. New releases included albums by Zoe Lewis, Natalia Zukerman, a release of an alternate recording of John Gorka's first album and a multi-artist recording celebrating Joan Baez’ 75th Birthday.
