The group established themselves as a popular live act, and had a hit with the song, “Poor Fool.” With sudden fame came marriage to Ike Turner, along with a brutal and often violent relationship. The 1960s were a successful time for Ike and Tina, with appearances on popular television shows like Shindig and Soul Train, records produced by producer Phil Spector, and concert tours with The Rolling Stones.
