Dr. Michael Berlin Interview

Foghat is a band. In 2023, Foghat turned 52 years old. In November of this year, they will release a new album titled Sonic Mojo. They are still out on the road, traveling across the land and bringing their infectious boogie to packed houses full of adoring fans nearly every night. A Foghat concert is every bit as much fun and intense in 2023 as it was in 1977 when their classic multi-platinum album, Foghat Live broke them around the world. Looking back, it’s only fitting that it was a live album that made Foghat a household name. The band wouldn’t have it any other way.

I speak with Jock Bartly Of Firefall
Firefall formed in Boulder, Colorado in 1974. The band was founded by Rick Roberts, who had been in the Flying Burrito Brothers, and guitarist Jock Bartley, who had been the late Tommy Bolin's (James Gang/Deep Purple) replacement in the band Zephyr.

The band’s trademark melodic mix of soothing rock, country and pop has stood the test of time, resulting in great critical acclaim and big-time chart success.

The band's biggest hit single, "You Are the Woman", peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard charts in 1976. Other hits included "Just Remember I Love You" (#11 in 1977), "Strange Way” (#11 in 1978), "Cinderella" (#34 in 1977), "Headed for a Fall" (#35 in 1980), and "Staying with It" (#37 in 1981).

The group’s roots can be directly traced back to the middle 60s music of The Byrds and Buffalo Springfield. Roberts, who’d been a member of the Flying Burrito Brothers and Bartley, who’s been a member of Gram Parson’s band, met in 1973 and hit if off musically and personally.

One pair of tickets will available to the listener who calls in when offered on air. Paige Patterson will talk about her upcoming gig.
I will play an interview With Bobby Gonzalez, Taino Story teller who we just lost a few weeks ago.

Bobby González is a nationally known multicultural motivational speaker, storyteller and poet. Born and raised in the South Bronx, New York City, he grew up in a bicultural environment. Bobby draws on his Native American (Taino) and Latinx (Puerto Rican) roots to offer a unique repertoire of discourses, readings and performances that celebrates his indigenous heritage.

I speak With Jethro Tull Guitarist, Martin Barre.
Martin and his band will be performing in Westbury at the Space at Westbury on October 6.
I will give away one pair of tickets to the show.
One of the top rock guitarists ever to walk the planet, Martin’s dynamic, expressive, explosive guitar playing was paramount to Jethro Tull’s live and recorded sound, starting with his debut on the band’s classic second album, Stand Up, right up to his departure from the band in 2011.
