This morning we celebrate the British psychedelic-progressive-jazz fusion band Soft Machine with a few tracks from 1970's "Third", !974 "Live In Switzerland" and 2023's "Open Door".
In the Cosmic Hour we play Soft Machine keyboardist Mike Ratledge's obscure film documentary soundtrack "Riddles of the Sphinx" in it's entirety along with new music from Purl, Jaja and Aglaia. We Also remember recently departed British poet, musician and songwriter Pete Sinfield with a set from King Crimson, the band he cofounded with Robert Fripp recorded at the Fillmore West during thier first USA tour. Extended 5 hour show.
