Sunday Street playlist for 09/14/2014

Today's edition featured new music from some legendary performers and a phone conversation with another legendary performer. Robert Plant's new album, a new release from Loudon Wainwright III, and the last studio album from the late Jesse Winchester were highlighted. We spoke with another legend, singer/songwriter Iain Matthews, whose musical roots can be traced to his work as a founding member of Fairport Convention, but who has followed a most intriguing musical path since the heyday of Fairport. He plays The University Cafe this evening, with master guitarist Jim Fogarty accompanying him, and our friends from Butchers Blind opening. (www.universitycafe.org)
