Pat Wictor returns to do a rare solo gig apart from his touring with Brother Sun. He
shares the afternoon with Jon Brooks, one of Canada’s outstanding songwriters

Sunday, October 18, 2 P.M. – Jez Lowe
“The best songwriter to come out of England in a long time,” according to Richard Thompson, Jez Lowe returns with songs from a new album, “The Ballad Beyond”, as well as old favorites.

Sunday, November 8, 2 P.M. – Blues great Guy Davis
A return appearance by this amazing blues master, who has a new album appearing
this fall, “The Kokomo Kidd”

Sunday, November 22, 2 P.M. – Ellis Paul
Ellis annual visit to the Café with songs to usher in the holiday season as well as

Canada’s great guitarist and songwriter returns to close out the year with powerful songs

HIP HOP LEGEND DMC APPEARS ON TOM NEEDHAM's THE SOUNDS OF FILM

Tune into WUSB's The Sounds of Film this Thursday at 6 P.M. to hear an exclusive interview with Tom Needham and Daryl (DMC) McDaniels. Listeners will enjoy an in-depth conversation about RUN-DMC, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Daryl Makes Comics, hip hop movies, his Broadway plans and DMC's upcoming East End Arts and Music Festival performance at the Stephen Talkhouse on Sept. 19th. Earlier that day, DMC will be signing copies of his comic book at 2 p.m.at Bookhampton in East Hampton.

DIALOGOS RADIO RETURNS, WITH COVERAGE OF THE GREEK ELECTIONS

We are excited to announce the return of Dialogos Radio, which will be celebrating its fifth anniversary with a special pre-election program to launch its new broadcast season!

Our special broadcast will include two exclusive interviews: with world-renowned scholar James Petras, professor emeritus at Binghamton University in New York, and with analyst Leonidas Vatikiotis, member of the Greek parliamentary debt audit commission. Both Petras and Vatikiotis will discuss the upcoming elections in Greece, the July 5th referendum and its political aftermath, and the current economic conditions in Greece.

WUSB will hold Fall semester staff volunteer meetings on Tuesday Night Sept 8th at 8:30pm and Saturday Sept 12th at 12:00 noon. The first half hour of each meeting will be open to the general public. Meetings held in the Stony Brook Union Building.
