Richard Strauss and the Vienna Philharmonic

From WUSB and Stony Brook University alumnus Conor Rooney, who is now working with the marketing firm for the Vienna Philharmonic

No composer has had a closer relationship with the Vienna Philharmonic than Richard Strauss. Working together for more than half a century, Strauss premiered most of his new compositions with the orchestra, including Till Eulenspiegels lustige Streiche and his opera Ariadne auf Naxos.

His birthday will be celebrated on June 11th, 2021. Below is a video of the Vienna Philharmonic performing Vorspiel und Rosenüberreichung aus Rosenkavalier-Suite.
