Sunday Street playlist for 08/09/2026

This encore edition of Sunday Street traced the history of the Newport Folk Festival going back to its inception in 1959. While there are other long-running folk music festivals, Newport can possibly claim to be the most influential. It’s also where Bob Dylan presumably ‘went electric’ in 1965 causing significant controversy as well as providing another change of direction in his incredible career.
