This week, Destinies presents a 73-year slipback on the Destinies Radio Theater.

Tune in Friday night, and travel to "The Veldt," as originally aired on the August 9th, 1951 episode of "Dimension X."

In this adaptation of Ray Bradbury's classic short story, "In a totally automatic house, there's a totally automatic nursery, with a pack of real lions. The kids' playroom is nothing to fool around about." Hear this tale of one of the earliest examples of virtual reality, and what was probably the inspiration for Star Trek: The Next Generation's holodeck, which almost always led to the ship's being in danger.
