Melting World 8/10/24: Grateful Dead’s Wall of Sound 50th anniversary remembrance

This year's Days Between celebration honors the Grateful Dead's legendary Wall of Sound, a groundbreaking live sound system designed by Owsley Stanley III. This system featured over 600 JBL speakers arranged in a massive wall behind the band, powered by 48 McIntosh amplifiers to deliver 28,800 watts of continuous power across six separate sound systems and eleven channels.

Join us this Saturday from 10:00 pm to 3:00 am Sunday as we play selected sets from May to August 1974 Wall of Sound concerts and discuss this revolutionary sound system while celebrating Jerry Garcia's life. We'll also feature artists who collaborated with the Grateful Dead throughout their career. Prepare your favorite recreational activities and tune in for a truly psychoactive listening experience.
