Melting World 7/14

From Ed Roller...

In 1976, electronic music was gaining much respect with the advent of portable synthesizers and sequencers with intergrated keyboards.

Manuel Göttsching, from the Krautrock band Ash Ra Temple, just released his groundbreaking electronic album “New Age of Earth” with a planned European tour supporting the record with Agitation Free’s Micheal Hoenig. The day before the tour was scheduled to begin they headed into the studio for one last rehearsal.

In 1994 Manuel discovered the recording of that last rehearsal and sent the tape to Micheal. He restored it and Saturday night at 10pm, in a five hour extended Melting World, featuring hardware created, sequencer based electronic music, we will play “Early Water” in its entirety, a beautiful 48 minute harmonic composition with lots of improvisation that portends the arrival of electronics, beckoning a new era in modern music.
