THE OWNERS, is a film written and directed by Jiří Havelka. Winner of Best Screenplay and Best Actress award at the 27th Czech Lion Awards and winner of two Czech Film Critics’ Awards, THE OWNERS was based on a play, The Society of Owners (Condominium), which Havelka also wrote and directed. A box office hit in its native country, grossing over $2 million, the film will open at The Quad in New York on August 18 and at Laemmle Royal in Los Angeles on August 25. Airs on Thursday, August 10 between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. |
