Our public power rally on Aug 11 is at 10:30am http://actionnetwork.org/events/tell-lipa-vote-no-on-new-pseg-contract/ - we are also a part of the Public Power NY Coalition (publicpowerny.org) so we are both working locally and statewide on public power issues!

Our work with Brookhaven Landfill Action & Remediation Group (BLARG) - we are currently helping support their petition (tinyurl.com/NoRezoneBrookhaven) to stop the rezoning of the land directly proximate to the landfill; open comments on the rezoning proposal are accepted up to Aug 16, and folks can get in touch with BLARG (where a lot of Suffolk DSA members also organize together!) for more info on that by emailing LandfillAction631@gmail.com or checking their socials (facebook: Brookhaven Landfill Action and Remediation Group, instagram: LandfillActionGroup)
