Progressive Solutions playlist for 10/25/2016

AS PART OF OUR FALL FUND DRIVE, OUR SHOW TOMORROW TUESDAY 1-3PM WILL BE IN TWO PARTS.
Part One will look at activists literally trying to save the planet. We will hear the story of a Tar Sands pipeline activist that helped shut down flow into the US last week.
Part Two will be the JFK assassination – special guest Steve Wiehe will join us. My colleague Mister X will join in prior to the start of his program.

Our Part One featured guest is Emily Johnston. Emily is one of the founders of 350 Seattle, a grassroots organization working for climate justice by educating people and engaging them in the movement for a livable planet. She is a Seattle-based poet, essayist and activist, published in Truthout, Slate, Crosscut, The Oregonian and elsewhere. Her first book of poetry, Her Animals, came out in September 2015 from Hummingbird Press. Emily was also a finalist for the Washington State Book Award.
