OUR featured guest today is George Maul, from Florida Tech where he is head of the Department of Marine and Environmental Systems. He is here to give us a “one year later” report on the “gusher in the gulf” … the BP/TransOcean disaster. From 1960 to 1969, he served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Coast and held ranks from Ensign to Lieutenant Commander. Then through 1994, he served as an oceanographer with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). http://www.fit.edu/faculty/profiles/profile.php?value=66 We will also hear from J. David Gray – our resident scribe – for another segment of our SYNERGY project.
