Souvenirs: The Songs of John Prine

Sunday, November 3rd, 5 P.M.

In WUSB’s Sunday Street Series at the Long Island Museum

For almost fifty years, from his 1971 self-titled debut album to 2018’s
The Tree of Forgiveness, John Prine’s songs have been an important part of the American musical landscape. This past June, John Prine was inducted into the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame adding to a long list of honors including several Grammy Awards.

The Sunday Street series continues its tradition of devoting an evening to the songs of noteworthy songwriters (Jack Hardy, Mose Allison, Warren Zevon and Randy Newman in past years) by presenting an evening of Prine’s songs performed by some of this area’s outstanding musicians.

Participating are: Emily Duff, Dan Hartmann, Cassandra House, Mary Lamont w/Jim Marchese, Pete Mancini, Dave March, Travis McKeveny, Miles To Dayton, Quarter Horse and Russ Seeger.

Special thanks to Pete Mancini and Dave March for coordinating this event.

This event will benefit WUSB-FM

Advance sale tickets are $20 at www.sundaystreet.org through Friday, November 1st with tickets at the door for $25
