Damo Suzuki (1950-2024)

The Melting World this Sunday at 12:00am (Saturday night at midnight) pays homage to the late vocalist best known as a member of the German band Can (1970-73). His improvising style while rooted in psychedelic krautrock expanded to cross genres throughout the years which included Can, Damo Suzuki Network, and The Damo Suzuki Band.

We take a journey into his musical energy from 1970-2019 including his collaboration with Denmark’s Oresund Space Collective in The Cosmic Hour.

Legendary Composer/Lyricist Stephen Schwartz Talks Wicked, Godspell, & More on The Sounds of Film Show and The Long Island Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame Podcast.

Stephen Schwartz joins Tom Needham for a conversation about his career and his induction into the Long Island Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame on March 23rd at 7:30 PM.

Hear the story of how Paul Atreides came to be known as Maud'Dib, and lead the Fremen revolution against the Harkonnens and the Emperor of the Known Universe as the Destinies Radio Theater presents "Dune Part 2: Attack of the Giant Sandworms," adapted from the 1984 film version.

And, as Women's History Month begins, Christina M. Rau reads her Wonder Woman-inspired poem "Woman on a Loop."
