Not For Profit Live Music,Art and Poetry Festival WUSB Supporter

By Chris Laporta

Bradstock is a local Music and Arts Festival homegrown on Long Island dating back to its humble beginnings in 1994. The Bradstock Circle of Chiefs created a not for profit that donates all proceedings from the Festival to various charities, deserving organizations and to sustain the Festival.

Thanks to the generosity of the many friends of Bradstock in the past twenty-six years they have donated over $275,000 to Camp-Pa-Qua-Tuck, Long Island Maritime Museum, Friends of Connetquot River State Park, the Sayville Kiwanis Club, G.R.O.W., They Often Cry Out, the Unbroken Chain Foundation, the Sayville Village Improvement Society, the Bayport and West Sayville Civic Associations, Peconic Baykeeper, U.S. Coast Guard Chief Petty Officers Association and WUSB FM.

Bradstock is staffed by a large number of dedicated and talented volunteers (just like WUSB) who band together annually to build and decorate the Festival grounds including the three themed performance stages. WUSB has been simulcasting performances from the Bradstock Main Stage for the past sixteen years. These simulcasts are the longest continuous live broadcasts in WUSB history!

The Bradstock Circle of Chiefs generously donate to WUSB annually and the most recent donation was the building block of the future WUSB Digital Library, a High Capacity Storage System.

WUSB Thanks the Bradstock Circle of Chiefs for their continuing generous support.written by Chris Laporta Host of WUSB’s The Bayou and Global Rhythms Thursday Nights 8-10pm.
