Later this year, Doctor Who will celebrate its 60th anniversary.

Tune in Friday night, as Destinies starts the festivities early with the first of several Doctor Who-related specials scheduled for 2023. In a live telephone interview, editor David Bushman will discuss the essay anthology A World of Demons: The Villains of Doctor Who. "From Daleks and Cybermen to Weeping Angels and The Silence, the greatest villains of the Who-niverse have achieved an iconic status all their own, haunting the nightmares of millions."

For the first time, a collection of essays by 17 different Doctor Who experts, deconstructs this gallery of the Doctor's enemies, and editor David Bushman will provide an overview of the articles.

You'll learn which of the many monsters the Doctor has faced made the cut for this book. You'll hear how the foes of the Doctor have evolved over the past sixty years, especially between the classic and the new series. And, you'll hear one expert's opinion about why the Doctor's greatest enemy is himself.
