Elliott Murphy, with Olivier Durand in WUSB’s Sunday Street Series

Friday, November 16th, 7 P.M.

(This show will take place in The Sail Loft Room of The Port Jefferson Village Center)

We are delighted to be part of Elliott Murphy’s “homecoming” tour as he celebrates his induction this month into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame.

Elliott Murphy grew up in Garden City, Long Island, and established himself quickly in the music world with his 1973 debut album Aquashow, which garnered accolades from Rolling Stone, Newsweek and The New Yorker. Thirty four albums would follow and continue the critical praise for Murphy with artists like Bruce Springsteen expressing their admiration for his music.

A resident of Paris, Murphy continues to turn out powerful new albums (Prodigal Son being his latest) as well as publishing a novel and two short story collections. He was also the subject of the documentary, The Second Act of Elliott Murphy, which had its US premiere at last year’s Stony Brook Film Festival.

For this show, Elliott will be joined by Olivier Durand, a guitar virtuoso.

Advance sale tickets are $22 through Thursday, November 15th at www.sundaystreet.org with tickets at the door $27 (cash only)
