Bob Westcott
Guitarist Bob Westcott is no stranger to Long Island audiences. His career began as a teenager playing guitar in the streets and baskethouses of Greenwich Village, and, more auspiciously, as one of the very first members of the Wes Houston Band. Onetime owner of Folk City and famed Greenwich Village scene author Robbie Woliver has called Bob "the real deal", and for good reason: Bob has been perfecting his elegant finger-style guitar work for well over 30 years. During the 60's, Bob played in the basket houses of Greenwich Village, then moved to Manchester, England to explore the British folk scene, then traveled throughout Canada and the US in the 70's, living in the Midwest, California and upstate New York before settling on eastern Long Island.

Both timely and timeless, his astonishing guitar playing and universally resonant songwriting have made him a perennial favorite on the Long Island scene and he impresses audiences wherever he goes. His performances are peppered with stories about his personal experiences, his travels and travails. This professional is also a Long Island Music Award nominee, and his album Rollin' Along finds frequent use in many a CD player. His CD Wherever You Go is beautifully crafted, an exploration of instrumental destinations which is "well-grounded and substantial, yet delicate and airy... an appealing choice for any fan of melodic instrumental music.

Bob has opened for several nationally-known performers, including John Hammond, Merle Haggard, Richie Havens, Tom Paxton, The Nields, and Richard Shindell.

13th Annual Deepwells Music Festival
Join us on September 15th at 4pm (gates open at 3pm) for the 13th Annual Deepwells Music Festival. Bring your lawn chair and your cooler and sit back on the lawn of the Historic Deepwells Mansion and enjoy 3 hours of some of Long Island’s most popular bands. Admission is just $10 and there will be plenty of food and refreshments available. Get there early for good seats. Here’s more on the acts you’ll be seeing:

Sir Cadian Rhythm – Before even having a full length album to release, Sir Cadian Rhythm (SCR) kicked open the doors of rock and roll in their home state of New York and opened for Billboard’s Hot 100 artist, Andy Grammer, in front of a crowd of 2,000. From there, the five-piece rock band steadily moved up to bigger venues to accommodate their fast-growing fan base.

The Kerry Kearney Band – (pronounced “Car-Nee”), a slide guitar master, plays and works his instrument to limits that amaze even the most seasoned musician or cultured music fan. The sounds Kerry creates from his vintage, stock and custom made guitars are as unique as his song writing and original melodies. Kerry was voted “Best Guitarist of 1999” by the LI Voice and “Bluesman of the Year 2004” by the LI Blues Society.

Miles To Dayton – Come and meet the family you never knew you had. Miles to Dayton’s music happens at a personal level, their message of love blending elements of folk, rock, classical, and funk into an irresistible invitation. The M2D recipe is simple: four-part vocal harmony, clever songwriting, improvisational violin and cello, and an infectious rhythm section that stirs up the creative stew. Having built a large grass roots following of fans young and old,
