The LYNNeS (Lynn Miles & Lynne Hanson)

The LYNNeS are Canadian heartbreak poets Lynn Miles and Lynne Hanson.Their debut album as The LYNNeS, “Heartbreak Song For the Radio,” pairs hauntingly gritty lyrics with tight vocal harmonies. In addition to their beautiful harmonies, the two are skilled multi-instrumental musicians so expect to hear acoustic and electric guitars, piano, harmonica, mandolin and percussion.

Lynn Miles has fourteen albums to her credit and has won several Juno Awards as well as Canadian Folk Music Awards. Her song, “Black Flowers,” has been recorded by Red Molly and Claire Lynch. Lynne Hanson has been playing her brand of “porch music with a little red dirt” for a decade, has released six albums, and has been nominated for a Canadian Folk Music Award.

A rare US appearance by these two great artists. Some may recall two shows by Lynn Miles in our series in 2006 and 2010. We're thrilled to welcome her back

in the company of Lynne Hanson. A Canadian friend of ours who gets to a lot of shows writes:"In the last two weeks, we've seen Tom Rush, James Keelaghan, and The LYNNeS. While TR and JK were super, The LYNNeS show was our favorite!"
