Mr. Edison will be turning Jazz On The Air over to the legacy of Prince Rogers Nelson before the tabloids, comedians, and relatives totally obliterate any idea of a musical legacy. He'll also be turning the show over to the multi talented Marilyn Carino and the welcome input of Rosanne Hoffmann making a rare WUSB-FM return for the sake of Mr. Nelson. Morris Day will be Tom Needham's special guest this week on the Sounds of Film. He will be discussing his relationship with Prince, the music of the Time, and his acting career. Day had a long history with Prince that goes all way back to high school.
Also featured on the Sounds of Film is writer/director of Son of Saul, Laszlo Nemes. The Hungarian film is set in the Auschwitz concentration camp during World War 2, and focuses on one Sonderkommando's quest to give his alleged son a proper burial under intense horrid conditions

The SOJ’s next speaker in its My Life As series is the journalist Michael Rezendes. He is a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter and political writer for The Boston Globe. Since joining the Globe he has covered presidential, state and local politics, and was a weekly essayist, roving national correspondent, city hall bureau chief, and the deputy editor for national news.
For more than a decade Rezendes has also been a member of the Globe’s Spotlight Team, where he shared a 2003 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service for investigating and reporting the cover-up of sexual abuse in the Roman Catholic Church. For his reporting and writing on the Church, he also shared the George Polk Award for National Reporting, the Goldsmith Prize for Investigative Reporting, the Selden Ring Award for Investigative Reporting, and numerous other honors.
