And, our pal Steve Wiehe will check in from Florida to give us his take on current events.

For music we will honor the wonderful life of Cesaria Evora. She died Saturday at age 70 in Mindelo on her native island of Sao Vicente – Cape Verde Islands. She sang in her native style called Morna. She also sang in Cape Verde’s more upbeat styles as well. A NYT review described her as a “Yoda of melancholy” – the NYT obit can be found at http://tinyurl.com/7cjm8t7 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cesária_Évora
