Willie Nile Special on Sunday Street - Sunday, November 15.

 

The Sunday, November 15th edition of Sunday Street on WUSB, hosted by Charlie Backfish, is an encore presentation of a program devoted to singer/songwriter Willie Nile's 40 years as a recording artist.

The program will feature an extensive interview with Willie Nile, some live recordings of Willie in performances in WUSB's Sunday Street series, along with studio tracks from Willie's extensive catalogue.

We'll also feature several tracks from Paradiddle Records Willie Nile Uncovered. This double CD album features an incredible array of artists --- both local and as nationally-touring --- performing Willie's songs. The list of participating artists includes Graham Parker, James Maddock, Elliott Murphy, Dan Bern, Nils Lofgrin, Richard Shindell, Richard Barone,
Kenny White, Slaid Cleaves, John Gorka, Lucy Kaplansky, Emily Duff, Gene Casey, Caroline Doctorow, Russ Seeger, Pete Mancini, Quarterhorse, Caroline Doctorow, Russ Seeger and others.

We'll be offering copies of the CD for listener pledges during the program.

Heavenly HARVST was founded by Chef John Doherty a Long Island native in 2015. Chef Doherty was the youngest Executive Chef at the Waldorf Astoria before venturing on to open his own restaurant “BLACKBARN” in the NoMad section of New York City.
